I don't think Lukas could have had any more fun than he did this weekend. He did not want to leave. He cried the whole way home, but that could have also been related to the fact that he doesn't sleep when he is at his grandparents either. He just plays, plays, plays non stop with his grandpa. He loves his ball. Right now that is the only thing he is interested in playing with. He doesn't care about anything else but that ball. Needless to say I think we had a pretty good time. It is so nice out there, with the cool breeze and birds chirping or roosters crowing I should say. The neighbors have goats, and all sorts of birds. Probably the biggest turkey I have ever seen. I know we'll be back soon. Lost of Fun.
Just goes to show you the unnecessary nature of the billions of plastic commercial toys (some of which are recalled for paint or whatever) for children. Give the child a ball! Take the child on a nature walk! It's far more fascinating than the engineered polymers that take millions of years to biodegrade! Not to mention the cost of batteries... and you may say- what about the plastic the ball is made of? Everything in moderation...
