Swimming at Aunt Adie's Pool

What a wonderful Day! We started out by having a lovely lunch with Dad and Linda to celebrate father's day and then we put our suits on and headed to the pool. Lunch was delicious, we had turkey burgers, home fries, and fruit salad. Oh and some chocolate cake, which I don't mean to brag or anything but I made it from scratch and it was soo soo good. The pool was really quiet and nice. Lukas fell asleep almost as soon as we got there, and slept on the raft for and hour while we played in the pool. We had a lot of fun.

Alans 50th Birthday Party

Tonight we had the pleasure of attending Alan's Surprise 50th Birthday Party! Most of the night we got to hang out with Aunt Adie and Uncle Thomas. It was a lot of fun catching up with them. I got to take a lot of cute pictures of Lukie. The night was kind of uneventful so I don't really have anything else to share with you other than these really cute pictures. Enjoy.

P.S. I got my license in the mail today! Super Exciting!

Playing with Sweden

I went over to my dad's this morning to pick up my cell phone which I left over there by mistake and boy was it a mistake. Yesterday I was holding Lukas out on the porch and petting Sweden when I dropped it. My hands where full so I decided I would just pick it up on my way back inside. I forgot all about it and left it there. Well I guess by calling it several times trying to find it, it got Sweden's attention and she picked it up. Last night when I had finally remembered what had happened I called Aaron, because he is watching my parents house while they are abroad and told him to go get it. It was in pieces he said but thankfully all the pieces where there and he put it back together. So anyway glad that my phone was still intact we played with Sweden this morning in the back yard. I threw the Frisbee for her several times until she was worn out. Lukas is so amused by her and gets so tickled when we pet her. She is such a sweet dog and she is so good about not walking all over him or scaring him. We had fun. Here are some pictures of us throwing the Frisbee for her, which she loves and if you don't cut her off she will run herself to death. I can only imagine her mind is just going Frisbee,Frisbee,Frisbee...throw the Frisbee.

Playing on the Bed

Probably one of Lukas's favorite things to do is play on our bed. I don't know why but he loves crawling and now walking on the bed. We of course are always on the bed with him and he has never fallen off. He loves to crawl to the edge and lay on his stomach and pick things up off our night stand. It is so cute to see how tickled he gets when he grabs something he knows he isn't supposed to. Here are just a few picks of us playing on the bed. You would thing that we would like doing this but it is a lot of work making sure he stays safe. So as soon as he starts getting overly curious we go play some where else.

Lukas's First Birthday Party!

What a fun filled day! We had such a good time with all of our Birthday guests. Little Lukas was right in the middle of a schedule change though. I had tried to schedule it after his morning nap and before his afternoon nap, but he was in the process of changing his sleeping schedule to one nap a day right around 12-1. The kids however had a blast in the pool and we had a wonderful lunch consisting of fresh fruit and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Yummy. Lukas didn't go swimming but enjoyed being held by his grandparents. That boy is 100% attention all the time. We don't mind though because he so darn cute. Not to mention hilarious. Some of the stuff he does will keep you laughing all day. Although he was tired there was one part of his party he is sure glad he didn't miss, his delicious cup cake! He loved it! We all enjoyed watching him eat it to. He was licking and smacking his lips like there was no tomorrow. I am so blessed to have such good friends and family. We had a really nice time. Thank you to all who participated!

May 10,2009 Swimming at Nana's

Let me back track a little bit. This is the first time Lukas went "swimming". I put swimming in quotations because although we where infront of my mom's pool and it was the first time Lukas got in a pool, he did not like swimming. He was 100% satisfied sitting on this chair drinking his water and eating his snack. He looked like a little prospector. Observing everything around him. The birds and trees moving where so fascinating to him. We had such a good time watching him take everything in. Most of his development had been inside since of the chilly winter months, but now we are starting to notice how much he loves being outside. It took him a while to get used to grass. He didn't want anything to do with it. The moment he would step foot in it he would cry. Now he will sit, stand, and try to walk through it. Needless to say I think we are going to have a fun summer exploring the outdoors.

It has been a long time

I can't believe I have neglected the blog for this long. I think about how much I need to post more entries often but it slips away with how busy things have been around here. Since the last time I wrote Lukas has turned one and had a wonderful Birthday Party! I finished School and I am taking my Practical Test tomorrow! A little nervous but I think I am going to do just fine. I will update the past soon and post pictures as soon as I find my camera.
